I'd be grateful for some help on Captain William Pritchard-Airey, RAMC, whose War & Victory medal (full entitlement) are in my care. He served in the 129th Field Ambulance (38th Welsh Division) and is described as attached to the 14th Royal Welsh Fusiliers.

Have anyone seen him mentioned in the war diaries?

I have not been able to trace his birth on ancestry, but I know that he was educated at Glasgow & Edinburgh Universities. Qualified as a surgeon in 1901 and practised in Liverpool. Commissioned in the RAMC 16/1/1915 (same Gazette as another, rather more famous, Doctor named James Churchill Dunn). Captain 16/1/1916, retired 1920.

From about 1938 I have found him with a practice in Prestatyn (4 Norfolk ave). Prestatyn was also were the 129th Field Ambulance was stationed in 1915 according to the Divisional History. He died sometime 1950/51 I think

Thanks in advance!

/Lars
