KIRKY Posted 28 August , 2008 Share Posted 28 August , 2008 I have been given the trio for Harold Higgs 1st South Staffs 9636 with a couple of photos. His son had no one to leave them to so I humbly accepted and I would like to thank him by frinding out as much as I can. He was a pro football player with the mighty Wolves I believe before and after the War. His son told me that if the South Staffs Regt had a match, his father was removed from the trenches to avoid injury! I have a photo of the 1st South Staffs football team dated 1916 with the cup.
