Dorest Regiment or Navy Service Perhaps?

Dear Forum, I have tried to locate details of my G/Grandfathers service in The Great War without success. I do not have any information from family members regarding his service. I have had great success in the past using the forum to recieve information from members on previous relatives so I am again hoping that I might be lucky.

James Seward COOPER, Born 1881, Steeple (near Wareham) Dorset.

His uncle (James Seward COOPER born 1839) served in the Royal Navy enlisting in 1854, so I am wondering if service at sea was also his calling????

I have details of his Birth, and marriage in 1908 at Swanage, Dorset. However the only entry I could locate that might be his death certificate was 1919 in Surrey??? Which does not sound too correct. I have copies of his 1891 and 1901 census records.

Anyhow I would greatly appreciate any information or suggestions in helping me with this search. Cheers Jason Harrison, New South Wales, Australia - email:jha52848@bigpond.net.au
