I pick up an interesting trio to SR-60 Gunner JW James RGA special reserve, a WW1 pair and a police Coronation medal 1897. i would like to know if there is a roll for the coronation medal ? thank you all.

Hi,

There was no coronation in 1897 - Victoria didn't die until 1901 and thus the nearest coronation to 1897 was that of Edward in 1901. However if you mean the 1897 Jubilee medal then WO 100 and ADM 171 both contain medal rolls for this event. However, these rolls are for the army and navy respectively. MINT 20/833 contains details of police engraving on these medals, but as I've never viewed the record then I can't comment as to whether it is a roll or not for the police issues.
