Hello everyone.

Could anybody tell me if it possible to access the war diaries of the 1st Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers online? I have looked on the National Archives and there only 4 or 5 available covering the Gallipoli period only. I'm looking for later in the war when the Batallion returned to the Western Front.

Thanks

Jonathan.

If you can't get the War diaries there are certainly the 'Calendar of Moves' which give a very good summary. What dates are you after?

No - other than the ones you mention.

The Regimental History is quite comprehensive is a good "second best". I don't think it's available as a modern reprint and an original is very expensive. I'd think about accessig via you local library - if you're not in the North West, then you'll probably need them to arrnage an inter-library loan.
