Hello,

Mod's if this is in the wrong place please move.

Been sent this photo from a really nice 70 year old guy from Sheffiled, he served in WW2, he now flit's between New Zealand, Denmark and England, he has family all over!

He would really like any info anyone could possibly glean from the photo, and i will pass it on. It is WW1 isn't it??

He must have been a very young soldier - under ten! Nice photo.

Hello!

It´s WWI. I think it´s guard unit, because of the collar. They are wearing the simplified 1915 tunic.

Hi Prussian, would that be the m1910 Feldrock tunic?

also am i right in thinking that the cap's are the 'Schirmmijtze' pattern, with chin straps ? officers?

Hi Dean!

No, it the so called "simplified Moel 1915". The field-grey tunic 1910 had cuffs, the simplified not. Unfortunately I can´t see enough to give a good answer. Could you kindly send me a closer copý of the photo, please?
