Ozzie Posted 7 August , 2008 Share Posted 7 August , 2008 The Nek On that all so narrow peice of land, high above the azure sea, and the graves of preceding months, and the shale and gravel of goat tracks, men, who knew the odds were heavily against them, rose from their trenches, and went forth to their doom. The 8th and the 10th Regiments of the Australian Light Horse showed true discipline, courage and dedication to their beliefs, when they went forward, towards the Turkish trenches. The first wave in expection, the second wave in knowledge, and the third....? Anzac. And the Turkish soldiers were struck by their courage, so much so, that it resonates today.
