Hi everyone

I hope to visit Giavera CWGC cemetery and memorial: http://www.cwgc.org/search/cemetery_detail...0000&mode=1

and also Tezze CWGC cemtery: http://www.cwgc.org/search/cemetery_detail...0200&mode=1

...this weekend and I'd be happy to take photographs of particular graves or names for anyone here. Leave the details on this thread and I'll do what I can. My last forum visit will probably be Friday morning so I won't see any posts after that. I can send the photos on when I'm back in a couple of weeks.

Let me know!

Swizz

Swizz,

two requests if I may, please...

GIAVERA BRITISH CEMETERY-

Pierce, R.G. 47892 Sapper RE 6 December 1917. Grave ref. Plot 1, Row E, Grave 6

Would be pleased to have a note of personal inscription if this isn't clear because of vegetation etc.

Also if you happen to be in the vicinity of the GIAVERA MEMORIAL nearby, then on the Royal Welsh Fusiliers' (Other Ranks) panel, the name of:

Griffith, J Private (69187)

Many thanks, and I hope you have an enjoyable and safe trip!

Have noted all of these. Chris - that's fine - I thought you were talking about several dozen which might have been more difficult! :)

Any more?

We're leaving in a few hours so the list is now closed. I'll post the pictures up when we get back in about two weeks!

  • 2 weeks later...

Time for an update: we were able to visit both cemeteries and get all the pictures. We were fortunate to get very good weather and I'm pleased with how the pictures came out - enjoy! These are just reductions - if anyone wants the full size iamges just let me know.

This is just a public thank-you to swizz for getting these excellent shots from Italy.

The locations look both beautiful and picturesque, the grounds are evidently very well cared for.

Gratefully,
