The Long Long Trail,at top left of this page, has some info:

http://www.1914-1918.net/1div.htm

1st Queen's RWS were there as part of 3 Brigade of 1 Division. Click on the Battle of Mons near the top of the page and read about it.

I could also have told you last night that if you have an interest in the personnel who were at Mons and their fate I was reading a file at the Surrey History Centre in Woking which lists all those from 1 Queens RWS who were entitled to the Mons (1914) Star. There are lists establishing entitlement and, more interestingly, daily casualty returns, wounded, missing and killed.

The file number is QRWS/3/2/6
