Brett, His papers have survived you lucky lad. Other number T4/252094 Arthur George age 17 in 1914 when enlisted, he was a clerk. Can print them off if you wish :rolleyes: Ralph

Here is the MIC but no service records. It looks as if it took him until 1940 to claim his TFWM - hence his correspondence address at that date.

Otherwise horse transport 4th Armyand arrival in F&F in 1916.

Brett, Pleased to report that 15 pages of your man safely printed off :rolleyes: and I have to say that his records are totally undamaged, near pristine condition and easily readable. In the post tomorrow in two envelopes. Ralph.

Probably wanted the ribbon for his Home Guard uniform.

The service records are not particularly exciting -joined TF ASC in March 1914 and arrived in France August 1916.

Mel, could be, I picked up his TWFM with a defence medal but sadly not his BWM and Victory. Wasnt sure if the defence had just been put with it.
