I am curious because my mother has just showed me a cutting from a newspaper from 1953. It is my g g Uncle Charlie's 50th wedding anniversary and it says 'being an acquaintance of Robb Wilton, the comedian, in the First World War, Charlie Evans often wonders if he is the person Robb Wilton refers to in his broadcasts'. Charles Clark Evans MM was in the 7th SWB in Salonica and I wondered if it was there he knew him from.
