2nd KOYLI & 2nd KOSB (5th Div)

Recommended Posts

At this period the 5th Division were holding the line from the Somme canal up to Maricourt, Carnoy etc.

On the 4/5 December, 1915, the 2nd KOYLI and 2nd KOSB's were holding the line in front of Carnoy.

Can any kind forum user who has knowledge of these two battalions tell me which sector of trenches that were being held on this date.

This is the date when officers and NCO's of the 14th Royal Warwicks were attached and first put into the line for a period of trench instruction and I am hoping to visit the area next week.

Thanks

Terry
