Fat Frank Posted 10 July , 2008 Share Posted 10 July , 2008 We have 4 memebers the Royal Marine Artillery listed as KIA on our plaque at the Zoo Gun in Johannesburg. this has sparked a debated as to how they are listed with the members of the South African Heavy Arillery dead. I have nothing like force numbers or dates of death but names only. We sumise that they may have been in RSA (there was a detachment here at the outbreak of the war) and been with Gen Beves on the column to German SWA in 1915. Would anyone be able to shed some light? They are: BSM W Emeny Sgt G Bentley Bdr S Churchill Gnr G H Allison
