Having seen the lists of medals safely and lovingly guarded by forum members, I wondered if anyone had come accross my grandads medals, grandma and Mum are deceased and none of us know what happened to the medals and the plaque.

*Private Joseph Walsh 5846 1st. btn. 2nd.Co. Coldstream guards.

He died in Ypres. I have some info about him but would be greatful for more. He is in the Roll of Honour, and was a lancashire lad.

I would be glad to receive any info re Josephs brother,

*Corpl, Charlie Walsh Loyal North Lancs 8th Bn, also a Lancs lad.

I Enjoying keeping you enthusiasts busy.

Many thanks for the responses to the picture of the Brothers Pink.

Many thanks Coldstreamer and thanks for the picture, I have the original, full length, but faded. But, nice to see him on the screen. I am greatful for what info I have and to be fortunate enough to have a picture, just curious about the resting place of the medals.

I have seen the debate on another thread about the re-uniting of medals with families, a good debate.

My query is a bit of a long shot but, please have Joseph in mind when you are looking at the Coldstremers medals and let me know if you spot his.

Many thanks for all your trouble.
