basiloxford Posted 9 July , 2008 Share Posted 9 July , 2008 I'm looking to find information on how Prisoners was exchanged, and why, and are there any records still surviving. I'm looking at Frank Purvey, service no 12622, 1st Bn Grenadier Guards, who was wounded and taken prisoner near Ypres on the 29th of October 1914. He was exchanged on the 1st of July 1915, Prisoner exchange list 28744. Would there be any surviving records of why he was exchanged, where, and also where he was kept whist a Prisoner of War. Any help would be appreciated. Barry.
