Hi Team, My Wife is attempting to find more info' re her Grandfather, Pte James Moore 3902, his stories of his experiences appear conflicting, however in the mists of time and fading memories this is poss'.

The family recall he was in the Boer War, allegedly as an underage recruit in a Scottish Regiment, we have contacted two of the regiments, (but without success.) however we cannot prove this, they also recall he was in WW1 and returned home, he lived untill 1966.

I was hopeing for some guidance on obtaining data from his service No 3902, we believe this was issued by the Royal Army Medical Corp, if this is the case would it be unique to that Regiment or could it have been issued to him by one of the Scottish regiments from his previous admissiom ?

Any guidance as to where to get more info to validate the pieces we have would be much appreciated.

Tom Keyes.

Northampton.
