Why was Sgt Neil Ramage of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, not elidgeble for an LSGC? He served from before the Boer War, right up until WW1. I have entered his name, number and details, on the scotsatwar trust website.

All those years of good service could be spoilt by one night on the drink, or a simple tap on the chin for being annoying. The list is huge as to why he didnt recieve the LSGC, some say one of the hardest medals to get.

as Charles says - (long service and) good conduct.

In 1915 the Coldstream Guards only awarded 3
