But there is an acknowledgement of the receipt of his 1914 Star from Mrs. Louisa Heath of 26 Station Road, Northwich dated 12th May 1919...and the clasp 22nd July 1921, BWM 9th March 1921. He enlisted 25 June 1900, served home, Malta for almost two years, Home, mostly in the reserve, then re-engaged for four years, went to France 22 Aug 1914, severely wounded in the left leg by a shell, returned to UK 20 Oct 1914, died in Lancaster of a perforated duodenal ulcer.
