19th Battalion AIF

A distant relative Harold Arhtur RETFORD L/Cpl 3219 was KIA in F&F whilst serving with the 19th Bn AIF.He was buried in Danzig Alley Cem.,Mametz,

Could any AIF buffs please advise me as to the Battalion's activities and movement around that time ?

War Diary advises they were in billets at Ribemont. His Roll of Honour entry advises he was a 19th Battalion reinforcement...but was transferred to and serving with the 4th Battalion.

He has a Red Cross file which tells you the details.
