hi my grandfather was in the 9th battalion the rifle brigade killed arras 3/5/1917 he is named on the arras memorial faubourg-d' amiens cemetery this is all i know of him so any thing will help

Ray, Soldiers Died cd has him born DEPTFORD enlisted and residing in WOOLWICH he was formerly R/29675 KRRC. He has a Medal Index Card on Ancestry if you want it PM me your email address and I will send it. Regards Ralph.

If you go to the 90th Anniversary section and look up the thread on Cherisy you will find a lot of the information you are looking for, including pictures, casualty lists etc. etc.

Ray, ref his card, it shows he was entitled to the British War medal and the Victory medal and the reference numbers/pages etc relate to the medal books at the NA at Kew. Ralph.
