bobirwin Posted 24 June , 2008 Share Posted 24 June , 2008 Please Could anybody tell me the whereabouts of the 2nd Battalion KOYLI on or just before the 20th December 1915 Regards Bob
sotonmate Posted 24 June , 2008 Share Posted 24 June , 2008 Bob The War Diary will do that. It is at Kew under WO95/1558 and covers the period from Aug 1914 to Dec 1915. The last place that I can trace 2 KOYLI to was at Messines in early November 1914. Do you have a specific man you are researching ? If you want you can purchase 10 pages of the Diary for 8.50 from the National Archives Catalogue. I would think that if you asked for 10 pages from 22 December 1915 and working backwards it would suit your needs. There might,of course,be someone here who has it already and is willing to share !
