Remembered Today:

Personal MGWAT Favourites

Michael Johnson

Art is personal, so I'm asking the contributors to give one or two (especially if different media) pieces of theirs which they consider their best work, whether or not they placed in the polls.

For me my Burial Party poem and They Also Serve short story.

Jes, you ain't half asking much!

Depends on what frame of mind I was in when I wrote my bits.

Got to go back and read all agian.

But that may be quite illuminating, considering the standard every one else put up.

Cheers

And, excuse me! Why did you not enter it?

It is wonderful!

Poor bugars, they were.

Their Sires/Dams were......

"When fishes flew and forests walked

And figs grew upon thorn,

Some moment when the moon was blood

Then surely I was born;

With monstrous head and sickening cry "

How many did they help, how many did they save?

Can't say, since I didn't see it. ;)

But I'm not against including new material - not every idea has a matching MGWAT.

I can't decide between a few. They were all different and the topics affected me in different ways.

Went through my entries, and since I'm basically behind the whole idea, I have participated every month (except one) and so there's a lot to choose from. I don't consider myself a big fan of my own works, but I still found eight, that in my opinion had turned out pretty well.

Oddly, Chris, there's a ammunition mule among them :D

Dear Pals, let's keep up the good work!

Nice work Landsturm - good to see yours and Chris's drawings of Mules as they don't often get a mention.

keeping with the mule theme

IN MEMORY OF MAGGIE

WHO IN HER TIME KICKED

TWO COLONELS, FOUR MAJORS,

TEN CAPTAINS,

TWENTY-FOUR LIEUTENANTS,

FOURTY-TWO SERGEANTS,

FOUR HUNDRED AND

THIRTY-TWO OTHER RANKS

AND ONE MILLS BOMB.
