Memorial Service Aisne-Marne American Cemetary

I apologize in the delay in posting these.

The small Marine contingent where I work took its members for a memorial day service and military heritage trip to Belleau Wood and the Aisne-Marne American Cemetary a few weeks ago. I was struck by the images of the ceremony, the tradition, and the obvious pride displayed by the participants in remembering their fallen.

All the photos can be found here:

Marines at Belleau Wood

I'll post a few here as well:

Thanks, and I'll pass the compliments along. I can't take credit for the photos. They were taken by the family of one of the Marines at the ceremony, who graciously agreed to let me post them and add them to my website.

Some great photos there - nice to see the AEF contribution to the war being commemorated.

Paul,

Yes, it is. The Marines are a special group. As a 20-year Air Force man, I hate to admit it, but I have all the respect in the world for them. They hold their traditions near and dear.
