I am trying to track down details of this man who died 3/11/1918 and is buried at Port Said... The CWGC say he was on HMS DUKE, but other than a WW2 shorebase I cant find any reference to this ship... (various Duke of etc ships).... To complicate things he was RNR (No 60412) and I dont seem to be able to find details on RNR personel...Can anyone help me.... JIM

Hello jaywalker

Sounds like the shorebase HMS DUKE (1896) Port Said, DS. Ex DUKE OF DEVONSHIRE, hired A/P vessel 25.03.1916. RN Depot Port Said 1917-19, Mine Sweeper 1919-20.

Regards

John
