Remembered Today:

tank building progress in Poelkapelle

Recommended Posts

After some quiet time at the tankbuilding-front, which is always misleading, because behind the screens much is happening of preparations, I'm proud to be able

to report that we recently made progress at building our tank in Poelkapelle.

You can follow on www.p1917a.blogspot.com .

In the comings weeks, we would like to end with a riding framework.

Well done Johan and everyone else involved.

It looks amazing and so big and strong. Can't wait to see it rumbling through the streets of Poelkapelle.

Johann, looks awesome. That is some advance from the 2 spindly bits of metal on the table in your March 2008 photos. Keep going mate, I'm sure it will be spectacular when finished.

Great work!! I can't wait to see it finished and hopefully pass it on the Vierdaagse!! What a topic it would be for the Historical guide !

Johan

It was great to be there yesterday in Poelkapelle to hear the stories of the 3rd Ypres, especially the actions in and around Poelkapelle in October 1915, to hear about Fred Talbot, Coghlan (John?), and to see your tank moving under its own steam. Thank you so much for organising the day. We will be back.
