This is an extraordinarily detailed book. These PDF books are useful, because they allow searching, which has never been available before. Here is my web page about the author, Sir Raymond Priestley. What is also interesting is page 4 where it mentions that this is one of a series on the Royal Engineers. the others being Water Supply in France, Bridging, Suppy of Engineers Stores and Equipment, with Mining, Egypt-Palestine Water Supply and Geology in preparation. Andrew Yes there were others in the series, though by other authors. I believe that the SS France has also been reprinted by the N&MP, if you need or want an affordable bound copy.
