navy list look up.

If anyone has access to the Navy lists 1914-18 could they do a look up for a S/Lt Windsor RNAS (later RAF). This could help identify a subject posted by "Barke02" in the Soldiers section entitled "Negatives found in fireplace."

Many thanks

Al.

The November 1917 Navy List gives a Probationary Flight Officer Walter A. Windsor R.N.A.S., [seniority 3/6/17] under instruction at Cranwell.

He is listed as a Lieutenant R.A.F., Miscellaneous in the December 1918 Navy List.

There is also a Lt. G. H. Windsor R.A.F., serving in the seaplane carrier Campania in the Dec. 1918 Navy List. Can't find him in any previous Navy Lists though.

David.

That's great work. I'll pass it on if you don't mind.

Their RAF service records should be in AIR 76.

Hello, Al suggested I post the photograph of Windsor here.

Many thanks for you sterling work,

Jon.

.

Hi,

I would think that W.A. is your man as he served as a pilot in 12 and 13 Squadrons RNAS and 213 Squadron RAF.

G.H was originally an Air Mechanic F8790 who became an observer. However as he was born 1888 I think he is too old to fill the bill

Regards

Duncan
