GJB Posted 11 October , 2005 Share Posted 11 October , 2005 I've got a copy of a medal card and in the remarks box is a word that looks like "Disoh". Would I be right in thinking this means dishonourable discharge or am I barking up the wrong tree. Gary

Wrong tree I suspect..............It is actually probably just "Disch" for Discharged,if accompanied by a series of Letters/Numbers/Etc; It means a Silver war Badge was issued against a Claim, however not every entitled man made the necessary Claim;so sometimes the Card just states "Dis";"Disch" or "Discharged" ,depending on the keenness of the Card Clerk..
