Robbie - I can tell you that we neither went to Calais Southern or Abbeville cemeteries. We went to cemeteries in the Salient/Poperinghe and Ballieul.

Did you go as far out as Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery? If so, do you have a photo of the grave of 6717 Private Victor Bannerman of 7th Bn AIF?

Did you wear your pink army boots?

There is an Australian web-site dedicated to the collection of photographs of Australian War Graves world wide. A google search should find them easily should you wish to participate.

Robbie,

If the answer to above is yes - I'd be interested in 6 of the soldiers buried there.

Cheers, Frev.

Perhaps someone can answer this query please?

Attached is a gravestone found in Tyne Cot of Private Webster who is listed as being in the Australian T.M. Battery, died 12.10.1917.

What does T.M. refer to?

Looks like TM to me Robbie - Trench Mortar?

Thanks Phil. Would these have been similar to a Sapper?

I found a New Zealander amongst my pics from Tyne Cot Cemetery, a Lance Corporal.

I note that he was in the NZ Canterbury Regiment and that the Regiment is not numbered. Can a NZ member clarify this please?

No, Robbie. More artillery. They operated the short range trench mortars actually in the trenches. There are experts about who`ll probably add more for you.

Thanks Robbie.

In regards to Booth, according to the AWM Honour Roll there were 34 men with the name of booth who died in WW1.

9 died in Belgium;

14 died in France;

7 died in Gallipoli;

2 died in England;

2 died in Australia.

Do you remember which cemetery in Belgium/France you took that photo?

Cheers
