Please remember the following when contacting a member who has indicated that they are in possession of a book or document that may be of interest to you:1. Not everyone is sitting at their computer at all times. It may take a little while for an email, private message or post to be replied to. Please be patient.2. Soldiers of ordinary ranks are very rarely mentioned in, for example, regimental histories. Do not be surprised if no mention can be found.3. Please be as specific as you can in your request. Not all books have an index, and it can be very hard work to plough through a book looking for a mention of someone or something. Give a date range if you can.4. Don't forget to say thank you.
