Etiquette

Please remember the following when contacting a member who has indicated that they are in possession of a war diary that may be of interest to you:

1. Not everyone is sitting at their computer at all times. It may take a little while for an email, private message or post to be replied to. Please be patient.

2. Soldiers of ordinary ranks are very rarely mentioned in war diaries. Do not be surprised if no mention can be found.

3. Please be as specific as you can in your request, and give a date range if you can.

4. Don't forget to say thank you.
