as usual excellent article with photos,  what is the device on top of the tank  (signalling arms???) also the photo of the wounded soldier being carried by German POWs, he has 5 wound stripes already, must be a very lucky/unlucky man.

They do appear to be a signalling device to me too.  Good eye on the wound stripes!
