My first entry into Blog world. I will learn as I go. The usual, ken?

Am very interested in anything Great War, particularly concerning the Village and environs of Aberfeldy Perthshire, and the men from the Burgh, who served and fell in the Great War.

Hi Kim. Thank you for entering Skippy-Blog World. A strange place ken?

Ken, in case you don't know, is a Scottish word for ' know ' so when I say, ken? I mean, you know? Or, ye ken whit I mean....you know what I mean.

By all means, join Ken and I for a drink

Cheers Mike

Hello again. I haven't visited Blog world for a while. Diane, regarding the proof reading; It could be a wee while yet. I am basically still gathering information. I have found out quite a bit in the last year and a half. I have quite a lot on some of the men, and very little on others. I am toying with the idea of compiling a list of the names of the men and their family members, and placing it in ' The Scots Magazine ' or a ' Sunday Post ' appeal for information. A world wide appeal might be best, as I dare say the families have spread all over the globe. I have very little in the way of letters, but have a couple. I have done most of the family trees, and they can be seen on Ancestry. Had one message from a relative of one of the men. Any ideas on where best to place an advert welcome.

The other problem is, I don't know what I am talking about. What I mean is, i have much to learn. Two years ago i hardly knew the difference between a Regiment and a Battalion. I have learnt a great deal, but have a long way to go. If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well, so could be a few years yet. No Hurry.

Cheers Mike
